What is TtraSE?
TTRASE wants to empower institutions with the tools and capabilities required to actively contribute to economic growth, job creation, and social advancement in the Western Balkans. Ttrase acts as a catalyst for change by equipping C-VET providers with the necessary skills, knowledge, and innovative tools. The project aims not only to enhance the adaptability of C-VET learners but also to empower C-VET providers to champion social entrepreneurship.
Closing the gap
The project seeks to bridge the gap between traditional vocational training and the evolving demands of the contemporary socio-economic landscape in the Western Balkans, with a particular emphasis on the transformative potential of social enterprises in the arts and crafts sector. Arts and crafts businesses express genuine interest in crucial contemporary issues such as social inclusion, digitalization, and sustainability.

First Milestones
Kick-off event – Matera
The TtraSE project, “Twin Transition for Social Enterprises in the Arts and Crafts Sectors,” was launched in February 2025 in Matera, Italy. It empowers social enterprises with green and digital skills to drive sustainable growth and innovation across Europe and the Western Balkans, fostering collaboration between the arts, crafts, and vocational training sectors for inclusive regional development.

Mapping the needs
As part of the TtraSE project, we’re launching a series of surveys to map the current landscape and training needs of SEs and VET/C-VET providers in the arts & craft sector in the participating countries. This effort will help us understand the challenges and opportunities in the green and digital transition, so we can design tailored capacity-building activities that truly meet the sector’s needs. Your insights will shape the future of sustainable innovation.
Sneak peek: September in Prizren
Our second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2) is coming soon in Prizren, Kosovo, alongside a dynamic co-creation workshop. Partners will review progress, align innovative strategies, and co-create solutions empowering arts & crafts social enterprises with green and digital skills for the twin transition. Stay tuned for inspiring updates from TtraSE!
